Hi Bore

Ok got a Hi-Bore played 18 with it today. Have a 9.5 with the NV, probably gonna go with the V2 when it comes in. Ballflight was extremely high, penetrating, it was not launching low and falling out of the sky with too little spin. I'm not sure what to make of the beast yet! Didnt see any major distance increases yet!!! I think the V2 is the shaft for me. The talk of going up a loft doesnt make too much sense, I think I'd be hitting ungodly moonshots with that. Anyone else have an experience?

I finally got to test drive the HiBore with stock Fujikura S, Prolaunch 65 S, and NV75 S. While I did get perhaps 15-20 more carry with 9.5 degrees of loft + NV75S (compared to my Cal 454 stock S, J33R 420 NV65 S, etc), I had huge difficulty getting any decent distance with the rest of the head-shaft combinations that I tested. It looked like the ball literally fell out of the sky all of a sudden, which makes me wonder whether this clubhead is really right for me (my avg. swing speed is about 97 mph; avg, carry distance is about 235). I had similar experience (falling-out-of-the-sky) with 905S before. The pro guy's suggested that I get 10.5 degrees of loft or even higher with a little heavier shaft with mid-high kickpoint to lower the ball flight (Blue or Comp NT 65, I guess). I would love to know your experiences. Thanks.

Personally, I see this club benefitting high SS players with too much spin on their ball already. I would think that 105+ SS would start to see benefits, with the higher the SS the better. I won't know until I try it. I swing about 112 or so. I am going to hit it on Thursday I think and will know more then.

I think it does launch slightly lower than other drivers with the same loft so I went with the prolaunch blue to increase launch angle and spin rate. I too was initially worried that the spin rate was going to be too low but you can compensate with the right shaft.

Agree. I purchased a 9.5 with a stiff V2 yesterday and hit the range today. Without much of a warmup, I hit three shots at an easy pace. So so results. Fairly straight,High Ball flight but kind of dropped out of the sky. I was a little disappointed so I put it back down and hit a bunch of iron shots. Warmed up I took a full swing at it. Exactly what everyone talked about straight, penetrating flight about 10 yards longer than my R7 with a stiff NV.

I still think the hardest driver to hit for low swing speed players is the FT-3 Tour. I found that head to be the lowest spin rate head. The regular FT-3 is pretty easy to hit probably due to the different weight configuration.

Got to hit it at a demo day today, and its not like the club is impossible to balloon or anything, you definatly want to tee this thing lower then what normally is done ( unless you already tee it low). To me it was just so consistent and pretty long. My swing speed is around a 105 ( latest numbers) and even though i hit a couple that seemed to balloon on me, they were not that much shorter than the normal ones. All in all its a great club, to bad they did not have an 8.5 for me to try or one with the diamana in it to test. I have a diamana waiting to put iin it but the only ones to test were teh aldila and prolaunch
