Need Help Fourteen TC1000 VS Epon AF 301 or 501

compared to Titleist AP2s

I am currently playing a set of Titleist AP2s, I like them but want to get away from Titleist for personal reasons. I tried every taylormade, mizuno, ping (big name company) etc.

Saw some Fourteen TC 1000s at the PGA show and have heard good things about Epon. Wanted to get some opinions on the irons listed in the title.

I am looking for something without offset, but is easy to hit, if that makes sence. If anything I fight the left side because I tend to get quick. I like the AP2s because its easy to get a nice high ball flight without loosing distance.

Any other models I should look at?

The epon AF-301 is personally the best players cavity back I have ever played. The confidence when I used that club was amazing. For me the Epon AF-301s had the best feel and also had a very nice look at address. The sole is also very nice and there is slight offset on this club though. I currently play the Epon AF-tours and they are also nice but to be honest I still miss my AF-301s. You may want to wait it out a little though because Epon is coming out with an updated version of the AF-301 called the AF-302.

I love my 501s.

I demo'd the likes of AP-2s, MP-52s and X-Forged before I settled on Epons - the extra $$$ were worth it IMHO.

Similar to the previous poster, the updated 502s that are on the way to market soon look nice.

Nothing at all wrong with the 301s, or the AF Tour for that matter. There are great irons. The only reason I went for the 501s was the extra forgiveness they offer.
I had been playing blades for years prior to these (MP-32s and TM). I play off a h'cap of 4, but in the last couple of years I've started playing a lot more golf with guys who are way better than me, all of whom play what would otherwise be categorised as Game Improvement irons. The evidence became too hard to ignore!
Some folks seem to have an issue with the feel and sound of the 501 long irons (undercut cavity and different face material to the mid and short irons), but trust me, their performance is fantastic.

Sorry I can't offer any Fourteen experience, but I'm sure others will chime in.

How's the ball flight on the 501? Only reason holding me back is the fear that the ball flight will be higher than what I'd like it to be. Any loss of distance due to higher ball flight? With the long irons' high spring material, does your distance go farther than usual?I'm having a dilema which to get... 301/302(when available) vs 501/502(when available). They say feel is definitely better with the 301 than the 501... can you confirm that?
