Get a Ping bag, they dont have that silly foot on the bottom of the bag so you don't have to worry about them fitting on the cart.

The only issue with turning the bag sideways on the cart is the limit it places on accessing the pockets on the hidden side. Also, depending on which way you turn it, the straps may be a hinderance and your towel may be difficult to get to. Otherwise, you will have better access to your clubs, so that's a plus.

I have a Titleist Premium and have to turn it on most carts. If you don't turn it, the base of the bag will often times slip off the cart increasing the risk of it coming fully loose and falling off. Trust me, it can happen...

Don't even think of getting the Titleist / Sun Mountain bags if you ride a lot. I have one and it drives me nuts even though I only ride maybe 1 out of 10 times.

You not only lose pocket access, the bag is unbalanced in the cart well and twists and turns all over the place like you were carrying a sack of deer corn.

GREAT carry bag....probably the best one out there. But when my friends, who ride in a cart, call me to come play with them I just roll my eyes when I think of loading that bag on the cart again.

I'll be buying a new bag this year. Get an Ogio, Ping or other bag which has a leg activator that doesn't extend as far out from the bottom of the bag as the Sun Mountain and you should be OK.

I just picked up the Four-Five and am looking forward to carrying more in 2010. I do not ride in a cart more than 5 times a year 3 of which are a cart only tournament. I use my Clicgear for all of my other rounds. I tested the SM on a Clicgear at the store and it loaded great. I do want to carry more often though and lugging the 10lb cart bag to the range sucks.

I have an giant Ogio cart bag that I use when riding.

I am curious about the sideways mounting of the SM though. Can you only do it with the legs pointing to the middle of the cart? Can you get it in either way?

Has anyone spent time troubleshooting this issue? Using a small bungie cord. Looping the strap down throug the handle? I am the type that needs to figure this stuff out. Perhaps I can figure something out and sell the idea to SM as it seems to be a common complaint

Couldn't agree more.

I recently got rid of my Four-5 and picked up an Ogio Grom. It's a huge hassle to ride in a cart with the Four-5, spare yourself the stress and get a bag that fits properly.

The one thing I like about the Ogio is that it has a rubber strap between the legs that can be used to secure the bag to the cart.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
