I am on a 18 - 20 handicap have played 4 rounds with my new graphite shafted A7s and find I hit the ball a bit farther and straighter then with my old 13 year old Ping Zing clones. I have left my TM hybrids in the bag so I can not comment on the Adams 3 and 4 hybrids. The shorter irons seem much easier to hit and control. So far I am very glad I purchased these and feel they will help me lower my handicap a bit.

Played these for a touch over a year. Probably about the best bang for buck on the market IMHO. 3-hybrids and 5-PW for about $400 when bought as a set.

The set should appeal to a wide range of golfers, the head size is large yet the club has subtle progressive offset. Furtehr they have a moderate to thin top-line and soles (excluding the 5i sole- a transitional club between the hybrids and 6i) for clubs in the GI category.

As Adams advertise the transition from hybrids to irons is seamless in terms of gapping between clubs on the course. With the lofts jacked up I find the 4h is essentially the same as an old 3i, so the 3h replaces the yardage of my old 5W (which I no longer carry).

I find the flight in hybrids and irons to be high without ballooning, giving good control (stopping power) playing into greens. Some may find the light (95g) stock shaft a touch light. The stock Axiv Black hybrid shafts seem to play a bit firmer than the rated flex (ie. the R Flex is near or half way between R and S).

My only real issue with these irons is that the graphics in the back of the irons do not hold up very well to normal bag chatter and look pretty tired after only a few rounds. You either need to just live with it or look after them with covers or a well wrapped towel etc.

I play to a mid/high single digit handicap with these, but reckon they offer enough foregiveness to suit just about anyone from about a 100 shooter down.

Not the fanciest name on the block but a very versatile iron, particularly for those on a budget

Looking forward to trying my new A7 Irons!! Look great and preform nice to. great club for a mid-high handicaper!

Why make that assessment? As my handi has just slipped down to 5 does that mid mean mid single digits?

As a set of irons these are far less GI than Burners, G series Pings, X series Callys- they are something between a players cavity and a GI club and really are suited to quite a bit wider a range of player than you are suggesting.

If anything I would suggest they are maybe a bit much or don't offer as much assistance as true GI or SGIs do for a real high capper (excluding the obvious one's that learn to play better and faster with butter knife profiled blades)
