New website that let's you rate course in the KY, IN Ohio area

Hey guys. I started a new web site that let's you rate golf course in the Kentucky, southern Indiana and lower parts of Ohio. It's http://ky-golf.com - this site is free to use. I am aasking everyone in these areas to visit the site and rate some courses. You can even leave comments, but you do not have to. If you have any pictures you would like posted, send me an email via the contact us page and I can put those up as well.

There used to be a nationwide version of this that I used a lot when I first moved to Chicago so I didn't waste 4 hours round-trip driving from the city to some suburban course just to play some dogtrack - with the sticker shock I got moving from Michigan to Chicago, price wasn't even a good indicator for me - I had to figure out if I could afford to play golf anymore (even a dog track is $60 to walk on the weekend around here)!

Can't remember the website, but it was really useful - wish there was still one for the Chicago area that had user comments and the like. Hmmm - wanna partner up?

Glad to see a site like this Ed, thanks. Hope it draws a lot of posts and opinions on local courses. Already rated a few courses in Louisville and will certainly provide my feedback on others through the week. The GLK site was one I used to check often when I first started golfing 4 years ago but rarely check anymore. With Moe and Ron moving on it seemed that the site would die but it looks lie it may be coming off life support. I'm sure that makes the handful of posters there happy.

thanks guys. I REALLY appreciate the comments. Any suggestions on how I can get the word out/? Since I am paying for everything on the site, I can;t afford $150 a month advertising on web sites so I am at a loss as as how to market the site.

Get in good with some guys at some upscale public courses and see if they can spread the word when people check-in (thank you for playing dogtrack acres today (handing a small flyer with your website) - if you enjoy your time today, please take 5 minutes and leave us positive feedback on this website - free to use) - it's a win/win for them - they'll get good reviews by asking their customers to go there, others will see those reviews, they get more customers, cycle repeats. You should also ask local shops if you can leave some flyers or something in their shops - we did this all the time at a shop I worked at in college.
