Glenwood Country Club

I'm thinking about joining and I'm wondering the condition of the course: fairways maintained well, how fast are greens, no rocks in bunkers, thickness of rough, etc. Also, some reviews said the course was easy while some said it was hard so your opinion on the course compared to say charleston springs, either course, if you've played there would be great.

 

I also tried to find info on their site if they have a range and short game area but couldn't find anything. I believe they would have a range but that would only be an assumption at this point. Any info on confirmation of range, preferably grass, and short game area (bunkers, how many greens, length of shots one could practice) would be fantastic.

Course conditions are excellent...far better than you would expect for a value priced private club. Conditions are comparable to most of the high end private clubs and are in fact better than many of them. Practice facilities are very good. Glenwood is a bargain for those whose primary interest is a golf club as opposed to a country club.

Hey Guys i am considering joining glenwood this year for the 1500 membership, was hoping to get some feedback on the course. how did it hold up last year condition wise? i currently play a lot at rutgers and some monmouth courses but i live about 10 minutes from glenwood and the deal is just so amazing that it might be worth it for me.

if anyone can help with any information on the course or how easy it is to walk on at any time or how tee times work would be greatly apprecaited.

PM sent. Highly recommend. I feel like a cheerleader for Glenwood, but I'm a big fan. Especially if you can get that 1500 deal, it's almost a no brainer. I'd put it slightly ahead of Rutgers conditions wise, but honestly it's hard to say because I've played Rutgers 3-4 times over the past decade, so hard to really have a point of reference. One thing I love about the 1500 membership is if you do go play someplace else a few times a year you don't feel like you're cheating yourself because if you play often enough, your price per round at GCC gets really really low.
