So I was sitting at work the other day… working hard of course… and I started to think about all of the deals we’ve got in our shop right now. The season is starting to wind down in many parts of the world and we’re starting to see some real deals on closeout equipment. We’ve had a lot of email asking about the best deals out there so SirPutts and I thought we’d put together a bag of bargins… based on what we see our customers buying and what we see available on the net.

Driver - TaylorMade R580XD

This is still a really good driver and it’s a very popular choice with my price-conscience shoppers. Sure it doesn’t have movable weights but it’s still very forgiving and very long!

Fairway Wood - Cobra SZ Steel Shaft

I’d put this club up against the newer Speed Series fairway woods any day. The SZ woods are really easy to hit both off the tee and from the fairway.

Golfsmith - $89.99

Hybrid - Cleveland LDI

Ok… the LDI isn’t for everyone but this price was just too low to pass by. I’ve got one and it works really well off the tee when I am looking to hit more of a “controlled” shot.

Rock Bottom Golf - $39.99

Irons - Cobra 3100 I/H Steel Shaft

These were recently reduced to make room for the new iron line. Most people that I talk to think Cobra could have got another 6 months to a year out of them… they’re that good.

Dick’s Sporting Goods - $329.99

Wedges - Cleveland 900 Form Forged

One of the knocks on the 900 Form Forged was price… most people liked the 588 just as much and didn’t see a need to spend the extra few bucks. Now the 900’s are on their way out and they’re priced to move… why not buy a couple of them?

Putter - Odyssey DFX

How often do you see a brand name putter for under $60? A great putter at a great price… and most online retailers still have a pretty good selection of models.

Bag - Ogio Vaporlite

We’re huge fans of Ogio products. These guys know what they’re doing and their products are very well made. I’ve never had an Ogio golf bag come back for warranty!

Rock Bottom Golf - $69.99

Balls - Nike One Gold

This is a great way for the average player to try an above average ball at a below average price. Now you don’t have to stress out if you happen to fire one of these into the woods!

There ya go… a few suggestions if you’re looking to round out your bag before winter.
