I would suggest staying away from the big box stores. Someone who fits out door with a launch monitor, has a good club selection, and is under $200 for a complete fitting.

I am in the same boat (live in Orlando) and I am wanting to get fitted for a new Driver and Woods. I have looked into and heard of a company called Hot Stix Golf. They have locations in a few states and luckily they fit out of Orange County National near Winter Garden. I read this review ([url="http://www.orlandogolfblogger.com/2011/04/05/orlando-golf-club-fitting-hot-stix-golf/"]LINK[/url]) and am seriously considering calling them for a fitting this weekend. Quick recap is that they are an outdoor fitter, they use a launch monitor, and seem to be relatively in live with other fitters when it comes to prices. Hope this helps. If and when I do use them, I will update the post on my experience.

i already got fitted. i just need a builder who does good work for normal prices. my fitter is very reputable but is on the expensive end due to his credibility and big name location. so i used him for fitting for specs. now trying to find someone who can build those specs for reasonable deal. let me know guys. thanks

Club building is a different story, I have no problem letting Golf Galaxy do my work because if they don't do it right they you can always refuse it until they do it correctly, which I've never had a problem in the last 2 years with their workmanship.

The hard part is done - you arrived at your specs.

Assuming it's OEM - every OEM has a custom department and you can either order direct, OR through a pro shop.....if they aren't playing properly, you can often have them re-jigger your clubs and little or no cost.

But if you use 3rd party - almost anybody can measure/cut/fit/weigh/glue. But if you probably are SOL if they don't perform.

Ebay has some OEM guys who offer "built to your specs" pricing - but I've never used them. Can't hurt - what's the worst that can happen? Use Amex and if you don't receive your items then file a dispute with both Paypal, and Amex.

It appeared to me that Hot Stix had a full club building suite with access to all the makers. Other than that all my work is done at Golf Galaxy but the most I have had dome is grips and shafts.
