Easy To Hit Irons With Low Ballflight?

I need your help!

I am a 0 handicapper with a swingspeed of 115 mph(Driver) and i am searching for an easy to hit forged iron with a low ballflight. In the past i played Mizuno Pro 1 with Rifle 7.0, Titleist 990 with S400, MP 30 with S400, MP 32 with X100 an TX Tour X and now i am playing Callaway X Tour with Rifle 6.5. All these clubs were 1 Inch longer.

I really like the forgiveness of the X-Tour but i hate the feeling and for my swing they are flying much too high. I was thinking about MX 23 but they do not really fit to my eyes. I do not like offset and i really like a straight leading edge...

Would be great if anyone of you guys can help me.

MP-30's with X100 shafts - best low, workable ball flight in a CB. Never seen a CB that I could hit those ceiling high shots (short and long irons) as easily. Tradeoff is that long irons are difficult to hit towering high shots with, just low and medium trajectory.

I'd have to agree with the MP-30's................suprisingly low ballflight out of a CB. Alot lower flight than the 32's and either of the 690 Titleist's.

Srixon I-302's with your Dynamic Gold shaft of choice might be an option. MP-30s, as suggested, do have a low-ish ballflight as well.

IF Your index is 0 then I feel you should be able to manufacture a shot the will bring the ball flight down. I know you can.

Maybe I am old school but I have a normal ball flight and then if I need to hit high I set up to hit high and low I set up for a knock down (somewhat) - top it no really but it happens.

I guess you are a little more particular and that's why you are a 0..

The Taylor Made LT's are a nice iron with a lower ballflight. Especially with upgraded shafts you can get a nice, penetrating flight from them. Not to mention they're fairly forgiving on mishits.

I'm picking up a set of the LT2s and would like to keep the standard ball flight down with them. What shafts do you play in your set?

Dont think that becasuse the LT stands for low trajectory that you will hit the ball low. I have the old LT's and i hit them just as high or higher than my previous set of i3's. They are really good irons though.

I'm looking at the LT2s for what they are...i'm looking for the right shaft to keep the trajectory down.

If you are looking for lower trajectory, look for a higher CG iron. I agree that the MP-30s are worth a look. Don't expect the shafts to have a huge influence on trajectory. According to experts (Ture Temper, Tom Wishon, etc.), shafts only have a minor influence on trajectory. I know this goes against conventional Internet wisdom, but it is true.

Of course, probably the best/fastest way to bring down trajectory is by making some adjustments to your swing.
