What to expect
Looking to change heads with a Rombax 7V05 s shaft. I hit a SQ Tour but I'm changing to a Titleist 905T (My favorite head of all time) For the life of me, I could not control the SQ Tour...It went right of right everytime.... Has anyone tried the Rombax/ Titleist combo and the SQ tour and Rombax Combo both? How do they compare? I really think this will be a better combo.... I hit My current 905T with a V2 75 stiff really well but I dont like the feel a lot.....

Any help or input will be appreciated.......

If I left any details out or anything is fuzzy (which it probably is) let me know and I will try to clarify!!!

:cheesy: :)

Thanks,

I got 905R/ Rombax 6w06 S, I have no complaint for this nice combo. You won't regret this investment. It has solid hitting feeling, ball trajectory, and distance. Very flat mid trajectory and the best shaft feeling and loading that I have ever tried. I got diamana, AXIV V 7072, Rombax, Zcom TW74and other high end shafts, Titleist and rombax should be the best combo for 2006.

Well..... that is good to hear. I know that the only problem I have had with the 905 is spinning it too much and, I know the Rombax will take the spin off significantly with pretty much any driver. It did with my SQ and I have read all the reviews on here and everyone has raved about the reduction of spin when using the 7V05... I'm really excited to see how it performs....... I know the Rombax still remains a rather rare shaft and a lot of people have not even tried it...... Those of you that have, what are your feelings about this shaft???

What's the difference between the 7V05 and the 7W06?

Are teh W's the softer tipped and the V's the mid kick?

Just when I figured out what all the speeders mean, I've got to decipher all the new Rombaxes :cheesy:

Also, just to satisfy my own curiosity, what bore depth are you inserting it in the Titleist?

Thanks!

The 7W06 is the new US issued line. I was going to have one of these installed in my SQ but I was going to have to wait a couple of weeks so I told JK to go ahead with the 7V05 tourspec. Personally I think the Japanese versions 7V05 is more harsh/ less spin/ higher kick. The new US versions IMO are going to be a softer/ a little more user friendly. But honestly, I dont believe the US line has taken off like Fujikura thought they would. The insertion will most likely be all the way I believe.
