Peter Millar Crown Sport fit

Evening all

 

Here in the UK the Peter millar site sells 3 fits of polo shirts, one of which is Crown Sport. Not found anywhere on golfwrx if anyone has experience of this fit and whether it is similar to Tour fit which seems to be a US thing?

For reference I’m.a solid large in Nike shirts but looking for a different style this summer as Nike is not enthusing me.

Tour Fit is awesome. Slimmer fit with shorter and tighter sleeves. The standard fit (Crown Sport) is a larger fit with ridiculously long sleeves. I’m 5’10”, 200 lbs and wear a large in every golf shirt I’ve ever tried. I wear a medium in Peter Millar if it’s not Tour Fit.

I’m an XL in standard PM for. For Tour Fit I’m a XXL. Just tried them on last week.

I have a couple Tour Fit PM shirts that I really like but PM stopped making them (looks like they are now called Crown Crafted).

Thank you for contacting Peter Millar. We no longer have the Tour Fit option. We do have a variety of polos that are classified as Refined and Tailored Fit, which will fit closer to the body. Below is a link to these polos.

Hmm, i was just at a Peter Millar store where they carry only the latest offerings and tour fit is definitely offered in the new line. Can’t remember if they were Crown Crafted or not. I know they weren’t the Summer Performance line

Great thanks all for the comments. The UK site has only a small selection of Crafted shirts so I may investigate going down to a medium in the Sport.

My guess is the tailored fit and tour fit are pretty similar. Anyone seen any Neiman Marcus $50 off deals or other discounts direct from PM? I want to buy about 4 shirts, but full retail is nauseating.

Thought I’d provide an update here, I ordered a couple of Crown Crafted shirts In my normal size of large and they are spot on. In fact the shirts came with a little card tag attached to the placket buttons saying ‘Tour fit’. Of course, we all know how it works, a couple of shirts will probably lead to a fairly large overhaul of the current wardrobe.

I also picked up the skull Perth. A great fit, I always found half zips to.be too long but this one is perfect length.
