Anyone tried these

Guys,

I'm making a trip to Bandon Dunes in a week and was curious if anyone has tried these shoes? I have the Footjoy Classics Premiere and they are made for riding in carts.

I will be walking 4 rounds and don't want to have some uncomfortable shoes.

Any info on these would be appreciated..

Shoes are really comfortable and they hold up. But what can you expect for $300? I got mine for free, and they were a little worn and they were still very comfortable.

Would they be okay if I took them out of the box and put them on to play without breaking them in? I bought the Footjoy Classics Premier and walked Pebble Beach and my feet about gave out.

 

I'm basically not wanting to get blisters from these shoes, or maybe just take my Nike SP5's with me.

They should be. The guy I got them from said they were the best shoes he had ever worn before. You can always walk around with them on inside.

If you are going to get a set of shoes to wear right out of the box, then I suggest ECCO. These guys stake their claim on making a shoe that you can take out on the course right out of the box. Not cheap, but if you are willing to pay for FJ Tours, then you can afford these babies. I suggest you try the Classic Crossfire, Hydromax, or Saddle GTX. Great looking shoes IMO.

yeah, from what i hear, ecco is the way to go for you if you want instant comfort straight from the box, but if you want footjoy, go with the gelfusions

i have gelfusions and they feel like slippers...soo comfotable I forget I'm wearing them, plus they look great

also adidas are really comfortable out of the box. it never need a break in period

I have a pair of the FootJoy Tours and they were the first FJ shoes to give me blisters the first time I wore them. Thy fit awesome now but needed a break in round or two. A friend of mine had the same issue. Good Luck!

ECCO blows Foot Joy away when it comes to fit, comfort and quality. Any of their styles fit and feel like they have been broken in for 6 months when you first pull them from the box and put them on. I have the Ecco World Class (on the high side: $400.00 retail ) but they give me support like the FJ Classics of the old days plus feel like slippers. If you long for the steel spike stability of yesteryear, these with Black Widows will give you that performance!

I just bought a pair of the FJ Classic tours Grant Blk and they were the only classics that were fine straight out of the box. I was suprised how light they were and fit perfectly. If you are sure on the size of the classic (since they run a little big) you should be fine.

I appreciat the information from everyone. I have purchased the last two pair in 12E from Footjoy. I called the lady and they are backordered on the white and black pair till September. I did find a good spot to order.

I wanted to give everyone my opinion on the Footjoy Tour Classics. I received these yesterday and got a chance to walk 9 holes in the late Florida heat. I pulled them right out of the box and they were extremely COMFORTABLE. These shoes are nothing like the Classics Premiere. These shoes really molded to my foot and had a tremendously light feel. I would recommend these to anyone who is a FOOTJOY fanatic.

I had Classics Tour and I did not like them. I had them for a few months and decided to get rid of them because the last round I wore them, when I was done, I had 7 blisters on ONE foot.

 

The best, most comfortable, and most durable shoe is the Adidas Tour Metal. The white ones look sweet as well.

 

I like the FootJoy Classics Dry Premiere but they are a little heavy.
