rife vs heavy

Anyone try the 2 bar rife mallet and the heavy putter- which one did you like better. I am looking to get one or the other soon. Thanks

On one hand you have a chunk of milled carbon that has a swingweight at the back half of the alphabet.

 

In the other, you have a putter that you are supposed to adjust by standing on a bar and bending it with your arms...very scientifically of course.

Actually, I threw a heavy putter on a swingweight scale once and it came up ridiculously "light." Something like B5. It has so much backweight it "lightens" the swingweight. Which just goes to show that a swingweight is far from perfect in describing how a putter feels.

 

Lately I've done some back and forth on grips between a Baby T and a Winn. The Baby T is 70 grams, and most Winn grips are 60. The same club with a Baby T will swingweight at D4 and the Winn at D6 but the Baby T club feels heavier to me by swingweight. And it is heavier too, by static weight, just that the swingweight scale calls it lighter.

I have putted with both and the feel off the face of the Rife is so much better than the heavy putter it is not even close.

I have a rife Barbados and I can tell you that it is going to be EXTREMELY hard to kick it out of my bag.
