The round that could have been...

Just got back from golf. I played Stoneybrook East in Orlando. The first time I have played there and probably the last, since I didn't particularly care for the course. 6820 Yards. 73.1 rating, 135 Slope.

 

 

Shot a 76. That's not too bad for me. I'll take any round 78 or under. However, I had 5 3-putts, and on 2 holes, failed to get in the hole from under 50 yards, in 3 or fewer shots.

 

Shot 40 on the front, after ending on the 9th with a 300 yard drive, then making a bogey from 49 yards out. However, on the 10th (par 4), I stuck a 7 iron 4 feet from the hole, and made the putt, then on the 11th (par 5), stuck a LW 3 feet from the hole (and made the putt), then on the 12th (par 3), stuck a 7 iron 2 feet from the hole. I have made 3 birdies in 4 holes before, but never 3 in a row. On the 13th (par 4) I 3-putter from 12 feet away.

 

I just can't believe I chose today to have my worst putting round in a VERY long time. Just one of those rounds that could have been.

Take the postives out of the round, don't look at the negatives. Up here in Canada we'd kill to be out on the links shooting in the 70's no less. We're still a few weeks away. Peace. :drinks:

[Ace In The Hole]

Yup, I'm hunkered down in my house watching the PODS, and I would give up two weeks salary for all the snow to be gone, and be 20* outside, just be glad you can be out there. Good luck with the putting, I always make it a rule for every ball I hit with my driver, i have to hit two with my putter, it's inside 150 that can kill ya, and allot of peopel don't work on that part of there game near enough.
