New in SC

New guy here from upstate SC. Been playing for about 5 years now, 11 handicap looking to break into the single digits. i love the weather here since we can play 9 months out of the year at worst. also, love being close to myrtle beach and playing they beautiful courses there. we really do have some amazing courses here but love to try and play a round wherever i travel.

 

i am a heavy hitter, i average 110.2 mph clubhead speed with the driver with an average distance of 309.4 yds/drive. my achilles heel is my short game so im looking for some people to talk to who can help with my wedge play and developing a few go to shots around the green. cant wait to talk to you guys about the game!

Welcome to the forums.. I visited Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head a few years ago with my ex's timeshare.

All I can say about the short game is - practice, practice and practice. Hitting wedges is boring at the driving range and sometimes feels like a waste. Try finding a baseball, soccer or football field and work on the 30 - 40 - 60 yard touch shots. That worked for me...
