I am rooting for France. Too bad Ronaldo's out, though. I am not a fan of him, but that's not what he deserves.

On a different note: I am pretty sure Sissokho will not be playing for Newcastle much longer.

Yeah you can't warm to him but it has dampened the final as he is for me the best in the world. I'm pretty sure sissokho will be at arsenal me think come 13th August

Well done to Portugal, they were the better team in ET today. But I hope UEFA realizes that their new mode with 24 teams is utter bs. They should go back to 16 teams. One of the most boring Euro's in a long time.

Can't see it as it makes too much money, but your right the quality overall was poor. The euro's always stood out ahead of the world cup as all 16 were top class teams....each group was really tough. Final is Wembley in 4 years as they go all across Europe......could England finally do it??? Doubt it

Not the most exciting final. I'm not saying it cost France the game, but the poor hand ball call certainly lead up to Portugal's goal. A France free kick almost certainly switches the field and who knows what happens from there. Good thing Portugal did not score off the free kick. That ref may not have made it out of the stadium in one piece.

It's clattenberg, doesn't surprise me one bit. Does it most games and how on earth he's had the fa cup, champions league and now Euro final is beyond me. He's Nick named clattenberk by most English supporters.......Mike dein is best in the PL yet gets over looked each time. But I'm glad Portugal won

i really enjoy watching soccer, not many people say that but i just wish there were less "injuries". i understand selling the foul but c'mon man. a TON of flopping (now has transferred to the NBA). too much corruption and I know in the US, soccer is obviously not as big as it is in the rest of the world but they need a few more on field refs and figure out a way for fake injuries and the time killing at the end when they have the lead. Ronaldo going off on a stretcher made him look like a little you know what. football (american football) players have bigger injuries and still somehow manage to limp or walk off the field.

either way, seeing Iceland go as far as they did was great for the game. I'll still watch big games.

i really enjoy watching soccer, not many people say that but i just wish there were less "injuries". i understand selling the foul but c'mon man. a TON of flopping (now has transferred to the NBA). too much corruption and I know in the US, soccer is obviously not as big as it is in the rest of the world but they need a few more on field refs and figure out a way for fake injuries and the time killing at the end when they have the lead. Ronaldo going off on a stretcher made him look like a little you know what. football (american football) players have bigger injuries and still somehow manage to limp or walk off the field.

either way, seeing Iceland go as far as they did was great for the game. I'll still watch big games.

Sadly it's part of the game now, drives supporters mad but in this case of Ronnie he had a cheap shot on him by payet and was badly hurt. But the days of Terry butcher (goggle the pictures) losing well over a pint of blood from his head are well gone....but I have seen some awful injuries in my time and its usually when a player is nowhere near. I'm afraid footy players aren't as hard as rugby players.....now they are nuts!

I'm in rugby league area....now they are super crazy! And when they get injured they really get hurt....there's a horror story a few years back that a player had split one of his testicles in the grand final, and tried the carry on playing for 20 minutes!!!! Aarrrgghhh!
