Neat golf book surprise

I've recently been expanding my book collection and this little gem came in the mail today. I opened it up and surprise ... a personal note from the author.

I know Mr. Finegan has recently passed and I also know he was a golf treasure.

Just thought I'd share this....I'm assuming he's not talking about the "Jack"

Fantastic find!

 

I'm heading over to Scotland on a cruise in late June. Not a dedicated golfing trip, but I've arranged to play a round at Royal Dornoch. This will be my first time playing in Scotland, and I'm super excited about it!

 

Just finished reading "Golf In The Kingdom" and I'm hungry for more good golfing reads about Scotland. I'll have to see if I can find a copy of "Blasted Heaths and Blessed Greens" (but I doubt it will come with such a cool note from the author).
