Quail Prairie Golf Club opened for play last week. If anyone is ever travelling between Houston and Corpus Christi, PM me to get on.

 

Quail Prairie is a real pasture course. Three holes and four tee boxes make ten different holes. Par 33. 1885 yards. This is an irons only course. Longest hole is a 325 yd par 4. The holes were cut to the diameter of a 30 gallon drum. No putting, unless you want to. You get two club lengths from every lie, no nearer the hole. No gimmees.

 

Number of clubs allowed is up to each group. We typically play no more than three, with most people using only a mid iron and a wedge. You are more than welcome to carry your whole bag if you wish. Remember, it is a prairie, so the wind is always blowing; usually 15-20.
