Black Diamond Ranch- Quarry what are the details that I need to know? Any tips or advice for this track?

 

I have secured a 8:00am tee time for next Saturday, July 7th. I know its a top course in Florida and I have read ample reviews praising the course. What should I expect?

I play there enough to know southern hills and juliette falls are better tracks.

I play there enough to know southern hills and juliette falls are better tracks.

 

Personally, I prefer Juliette Falls. One of the most under-rated tracks in FL. LOVE that place.

Well this is something to reconsider then. Black Diamond was approx $160 for the round and Juliette Falls being only $45.00.

 

This has me perplexed, as Black Diamond is rated top 15 in state and Juliette outside top 65.. Talk about a massively underrated.

 

One of the most under-rated tracks in FL. LOVE that place.

Agree with Jere, Black Diamond Quarry is 13 bland holes with 5 of the most unique holes you’ll ever play. But still play it just for the Quarry holes.

I have a friend who gets to go on cheap via practice rounds, otherwise I would never pay the rate. Juliette Falls is a better track over all.

 

The last time I was there, a member yelled at us because we parked the cart in front of the cart sign near the green. They think they have a jewel or something. It's not. hahaha

haha I loved Calusa... I am going to be in that area visiting my elderly grandmother, she's 92 and is wanting to ride and watch. That being said, there's the possibility and rightfully so that she would want to leave if she became too hot.

 

I think I will opt for Juliette Falls this go around.

ask your pro to call in adena; it's easier to get on during the summer.

 

yeah, different strokes for different folks. Anyone that ask me about CP, I tell them to try to get on concessions since it's a better track. I forgot the unaccompanied fees there, 500? Just not worth it imho when you got streamsong up the road for half the cost with caddie fees.

I spoke to Adena. That was my first choice. They are over seeding the property and are closed for play until October.

 

 

I was a guest at Calusa Pines when I played. If you ever have the opportunity to play The Old Collier Golf Club, I'd highly recommend it. Mark Lye is the director of golf there.

I'm sure you'll love JF.

 

I don't go down to naples often and to be honest I rather go to streamsong most times. I love that place more than any course in florida.

It’s good condition. Too gimmicky for my taste though. I prefer Juliette falls.

Play Black Diamond if you got the chance. I didn’t mean to poo poo the idea of playing there. It’s a super unique course, with 5 terrific holes around the Quarry. Golden Ocala is sweet as well, cool to play replicas of other famous holes and they’re well done replicas too at least I think so having played some of the real ones.
