Cleveland Launcher Ti460

Anything special?
Does anyone here use the new Launcher Ti460? I've never hit a Launcher before and was wondering if these drivers are worth a look? I'm not interested in the Comp because I like a bit hight launch and have been told by many that the Comp launches lower than the all Ti model. Supposedly, this model is an improvement of last years popular driver.

Any comments are welcomed. Thanks.

I've hit the new launcher on a simulator, and I thought it was a pretty solid driver. I'll take a much closer look at it in the spring, or when the price comes down. I had the old Launcher 460, but traded it in for the Comp. As for the trajectory of the Comp, it's pretty close to the Launcher. If you go to Cleveland's website, they have a trajectory chart that compares the Comp to the old and new Launcher. The site claims that the initial launch angle of the Comp is actually higher then the Launcher, but the Comp then levels off at a slightly lower height. The Launcher drivers tend to be a bit more draw biased then the Comp (at least from what I've seen).

Speaking of low prices, I just picked up a new launcher 460ti for 179 on ebay. 199 minus a 10% paypal coupon. Great deals, check it out!

That's a great price, but what made you decide on this driver? Have you used Cleveland in the past? I don't hear much about this driver, but seem to think that Cleveland is much underrated with their driver technology.

I bought one off of a member here in the BST, and I love it. It's a 8.5 with the pro launch 65 in it, which was a bit light for me. I fixed that with some lead tape, and got the SW to D2 and I love it, nice and high but doesn't balloon. I have no previous experience with the Comp, or any other Cleveland drivers, so I can't comment there.

I do also have a 905S, and when comparing, the Launcher sits more square then the S. It's certainly less workable though. The first 9 holes I played with it, I hit 7/7 fairways averaging around 290 (105SS med/fast tempo). Maybe it's just a hot honeymoon, now it's 20F and snow on the ground, so I can't tell you!

When I read about the weather elsewhere, I keep counting my blessings that I live in SoCal where it's still in the 70's and 80's in December! Good to hear something positive about the Ti460.

Nice... I'll have plenty of time this winter to try and find a low price similar to that.

I just tried the new Launcher Ti460 y'day on the range. Speeder 553 S flex. Nice and solid and feels great. I played the original Launcher 330 for a few years and had to constantly fight hooking the ball. Doesnt happen with Ti460. This head shaft combo seems to work too if you like lighter feel.

It's a simple and solid driver with no gimmick, that's why it gets little mention. If you can find it cheap as quoted above, and spend the $$$ on a good fitted shaft, it is a good driver to keep IMHO.

cheers,

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
