Questions about shafts. Project X vs Nippon Modus and Elevate Tour

Hi all!

 

I am looking to change out my iron shafts and wanted your option.

I currently have the True Temper Elevate Tour X shafts in PXG 0311T irons. Got fit for the irons and fitter recommended the Elevates. I had previously gamed DG X100. I liked them and played well with them. 

 

I don't mind the elevates but not in love with them. Good feel, good launch but I think he suggested them because they had them in stock. I love the iron heads, the look the feel, everything. 

Anyway, I would like to get new shafts for my irons and was curious what a comparable shaft would be to X100 or Elevate Tour X. For some additional information, I hit my 7 iron 185 yards. I tend to have a high trajectory which I dont mind but wouldnt be mad at bringing it down a tad. 

1. Project X 6.0 or 6.5? LZ, LS, or X?
2. Nippon Modus 105?
3. Nippon Modus 120?

I have found Project X iron shafts to feel VERY different from DG (and Nippon Modus) shafts, so you should really hit something with them in before making a selection. The logical question to me seems to be, why wouldn't you go back to DG X100? The next step in the DG line would be DG X7 which should help lower your flight, if that's your primary objective. There are more knowledgeable folks who can add greater perspective. Good luck.
