Anyone play it?

On June 23 i have the 36 hole qualifier for US unior Am at Canterwood Golf and Country Club, not sure if i will be able to sneak a practice round in, most likely will walk the course the day before when we get down there, but was wondering if anyone had played it and what you thought of it, looks pretty tough from the scorecard 7200 76.5/141.

I played it probably about 10 years ago. It was in its inception obviously and back then I was a teenager however I do remember the course. The thing that I remember the most is how difficult it was off the tee. There are a ton of bunkers in the middle of fairways guarding corners etc. I remember people saying it was so hard that they were going to scale it back a little bit. I know this is limited information but for what it is worth I would make SURE I at least walked it. It is a tricky little track that neccessitates preperation.

I played it several time in the past but not recently. It's used to be the toughest rated golf course from the back tee in the Washington State, now it's ranked second ( next to The Plateau in Sammamish ).

It's within a gated community unless you live within the gates or were visiting a friend you'll be stopped by the gate.

However, if you're attending an event there, ask the proshop or the event sponsor to get in a practice round, I'm pretty certain you could get in a practice round or two. Perhaps you'l have to go out with a fellow competitor or a memeber or two.

Get it planned early and you will benefit from haveing a few practice rounds there.

Canterwood is the most consistant as being the toughest track in the state, with The Plateau Club and Bear Creek CC trading positions for 2 and 3. Both of those are fantastic and great tests of golf. imo
