Well I'll have to say this theyre both great shafts and aside from the price difference there are some other differences.

Both of them are very true to flex and have approximately the same weight and kick point (high). However imo the shot dispersion on the V2 is better at least for me was much better. This is partially due to the difference in torque, the PM has much greater torque at over 3* whereas the V2 has about 2*. For me the torque is very important bc flex i always mess with but if you are a person who swings aggressively you may want the lower torque. It wasnt worth it for me to spend the extra especially given what it played like and the fact that the V2 i just hit straighter. So it depends on what your looking for, the PM may be a little more forgiving but I'd go with the V2 (i am see sig).

One thing I would like to say concerning Torque:

The PM702 has 3.2° of Torque in X weighting 73g uncut whereas the

V2 75 has 2.2° of torque in X weighting 76g.

These torques both are LOW, so unless you tend to hit the ground with you driver, these torque rates won't make any difference in the accuracy of your drives, meaning even if you like to really go at it you won't spray your drives all over the place just because of 1° difference in the torque of your drivershaft.

When good players get fit for low-torque-shafts one of the most important issues is feel. As you do not hit the ground with your driver during the swing (at least I hope so :smilie_titty:  ) , the only obstacle in the clubheads way will be the ball, and this mass will not make your shaft twist all that much.

Low torque shafts will provide you with the hardware to be precise, the real accuracy is hopefully a feature of your swing...

You are likely to choose which kind of feedback you like better. The more torque ( within the low-torque section ) the softer the impact will feel.

There of course are shafts with low torque rates that feel much softer than you would expect, like the 757 (cool) for example. ( The feel part is a very subjective perception! ) This is due to the new materials or construction methods used.

That's what it is if you make up your decision based only upon torque rates...

If you want to achieve a certain flight, trajectory or whatever you definitely have to take all the other shaft data into consideration. When Kickpoint, weight, flex, etc etc are all the same, then you can make your choice about what you would the shaft like to feel like at impact....

Just may two cents... :smilie_titty:

Hope this helps...

if you want more feel i'd get the pm702,the ust v2 seems to deaden the ball at impact...by the way the pm702 is now known as just the 702 prototype model...it seems like they had to change the name of the shaft because of a certain tour player with the initials of p.m. decided to sue them...same shaft same orange color just different name. if you can get your hands on a accra t70 shaft try it! it has similar characteristics to the ust v2 but has a much better feel!
