Nike SQ 3-wood

Has anyone reshafted this club?

I have a Nike SQ 3-wood and agree with many that this is a great FW wood. I seem to hit the stock shaft in this club pretty well. I have never played a stock shaft in any of my woods and the 4.4 torque rating in this shaft seems way too high. The shaft only weighs 60 grams and usually this would be too light. I was thinking about a Prolauch 75 with a much lower torque. Has anyone put a different shaft in this fairway wood and has it made that much of a difference? Again, the stock shaft performs well, but it is awful difficult to ignore the specs which would normally be too weak!

I went through the same thing with my SQ driver. I hit the stock shaft so well that despite the specs on the shaft which didnt appeal much to me I was afraid to change it. So I bought another identical SQ to mess around with. In the end I did find a shaft that works better for me (Axiv 6564M) but the difference is not as much as I would have thought. I also tried 3 other shafts that didnt work as well. I could still play the stock shaft without any problem but the Axiv feels better and I can carry it about 5 yards further. All in all I would try the ProLaunch if you really want to but make sure you save the original stock shaft so if it doesnt work as well for you you can throw it back in there.
