Project X shafts in your irons, what shaft in your wedges?

I went from the mx25s to mp57s and my 25s were shafted with dynalite gold sl shafts as are my wedges. Should I change my wedge shafts to PX or leave them DGSL or a different shaft altogether? If you do recommend PX should I stick with 5.0 like in my irons or should I go stiffer?

I had to replace my wedges earlier this summer due to worn out grooves, and bought them with DGS 300 in them mainly because I got a really good deal. As you can see in my WITB I play PX 6.0, but I still tried to game the S 300 and failed miserably! It felt like the club head was lagging and I was hitting these big wipers...high, short and right :black eye: I had my old wedge shafts put in the new wedges and all is well again. I have read on here that DGX 100 is closer to the PX 6.0 than the S 300 and that could be the problem also, but I haven't hit the X 100.

 

IMO if you are loading the PX consistantly you will probably have issues with the DGSL. If you do go to the PX in the wedges I would recommend the same freq as your irons based on my experience. Hope this helps.

I like S400s in my wedges as opposed to project X, because they give a little more weight. I tried 6.5s in a new set of wedges and found that I had no feel with them, felt very boardy and took a lot of spin off. I would say that 5.0s in you wedges are going to feel very light as it is only a 115g shaft or so. I wouls suggest try DGs, you may get a little more feel.
