Ping Fitting results

Any ideas how this would happen?

Static and Dynamic fitting today, hit off the lie board.

Results as follows: 3* up - just on the toe end of "Ping" in tape, 2.25* up - same, 0.75* up - same

In total I hit 7 balls off the board, all flew straight with good trajectory and yardage within 15yds

Clubs hit were I5, G10, I10 and S57

Fitter couldnt explain it, anyone here have any ideas?

Most likely you have your right hand in a "strong" position which will cause you to flip the toe through impact; you will even mark a club that is 5 degrees upright on the toe with a grip like this. Move your right hand into a more neutral position (rotate it further left so that it is more on top of your left hand) and you will find out which lie angle you actually need. If you already have a neutral grip, I suppose it is possible that the grip size is too small, causing your right hand to be overactive; most players that mark on the toe like this have been playing with, or learned to play golf with clubs which were too flat for them. Ultimately, fit for ballflight; you may have to go to an extremely flat or upright lie angle if your preferred shot shape is a draw or a fade. Otherwise, I wouldn't be too concerned with the lie board results, as this is only one aspect of the fitting process.

Must be happening during the downswing as I play a very neutral grip? The grip question did come up during the fitting, and i am going to try a 2 wrap setup on a couple of irons and see if that helps. The biggest puzzle was why the change in lie angle didnt produce a change in trajectory, all the balls felt well struck and when i was originally fit for the i10's different lie angles made a noticeable change.
