HX Hot Plus

I saw these in the golfsmith catalogue and also in walmart... Has anyone else seen them and or played them???

I had a friend ask me today about these. So, I went and looked them up and it sure seems to me that its the same ball as the 2007 HX Hot. I think they went back to the better cover because the HX Hot Bite cover isn't very durable IMO. I would like to hear others thoughts on this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the HX Hot just a top flite with the hexagonal dimples? What advantages do they really offer over a ball $10 cheaper?

Oh, but which Top Flite? HX Hot is a 3-piece ball, of which Top Flite has very few. The TF Gamer came after the original HX Hot and from what I've heard is basically the same ball as the HX Hot Bite with round dimples. Does TF have any other 3-piecers? Maybe a Strata? Either way, it's not a repackaged XL or even D2.

Played the HX Hot Plus the other day. Only one round. haven't played the HX hot in a while but compared to the Hot Bite, the Hot Plus is a bit longer, a bit less spin but held the green well.

I think the TF Gamer is as long as the Hot Plus with the spin of the Hot Bite around the green.

I'm interested in trying this ball but, I'm more interested in the balls trajectory than distance. The HX HOT Plus is advertised as having a more "penetrating" trajectory, which I have no idea what this means. Does it have a lower or higher ball flight. I have played the HX Hot Bite and it has a very high trajectory (that I prefer).

If anybody has played this ball do you know if it's trajectory is Higher or lower?
