Pretty much describes me. The ZIP is my recreational ball, occasional 50/50, the TX4 when serious check is necessary. I play to a 6.

 

Don't underestimate the Wilson offerings, they are every bit as good and better in some cases than other balls in their price point, and construction class.

Playing the Tx4 this winter, normaly play Pro v1x.

I have to say these are a very good ball in all aspects, greenside spin/control is fantastic.

I play the wilson smart core balls, double pack for about $15, very comparable to the noodles I used to play, and really can't tell much difference between them and fifty fifies.

I bought some of the I-wounds from RBG and actually like them a lot. for 7 bucks a dozen you cant beat em! I think they spin really well around the green. They are a little bit clicky on putts but its easy to get used to it. I play to a 4.8 hdcp

I score better with the Tx4, I keep trying B330Ss, V1s, etc..., but I go back to the Tx4...It goes where my brain thinks it should...7 hc

15 handicap. Tried several balls over the past year and settled on the Wilson 50 as just as good as much more expensive balls.

I really don't have an established handicap, but I normally shoot between 81 and 88. For serious greenside control I played the Wilson Staff Tx4 Pro's. But for an all around ball and a money saver the Zips are perfectly fine. Wilson Staff will also be releasing the new Zip golf ball soon. I have never tried the 50 ball because i like the Zip's way to much and they fit my needs as a golfer. For the lower handicap/scratch golfers I say the Tx4 Pro's. But if not those then the Zips for average golfers are a definite buy.

And just to add something about the Wilson Tx4 Pro's, the only downside I feel with that ball is, the cover shreds on wedge shots. But that lets me know I'm hitting the ball well..........so maybe it isn't a downside haha!

I tried the zips today and i'm going to be sticking with this model til' it gets warmer. Soft feel, spins great, and a fair price.

I'm a huge fan of the Wilson balls period. With the cooler temps I play the 50/50 and if I need a bit more spin I'll go with the Zip. Love the new Tx4 pro. I have quit playing the Titleist all together and the members at my course have noticed. They are buying the Wilson balls 5-1 over anything else. I play to a +2 index.

Have played all the Wilson balls (TX 4s,PX3s,Dx2s 50/50, Zips)The Zips are the most bang for the buck I play to a 7 with the strongest part of my game around the green. They out pitch and out putt the Pro-vs in my group

Yea not to switch topics, but yes i do have a Tw9 60 degree wedge. It plays a lot better then my Tw7 58 degree. I personally love the look at the club from address and the feel at impact. It suits my needs just like my 2 KZG wedges. Wilson Staff is a very under rated company.

I have played the Tx4, Px3, ZIP and 50/50. And the older smartcore straight. Love the Px3 for the price ($10 /dozen) but the ZIP is very nice too!

Yesterday on the Par 3's I decide to test my Wilson ZIP's against three ProV1' s I had found and placed in my bag weeks ago.

The Holes were 188 yeads and 168 yards. I hit 3 of each ball on both holes. The Wilson Zips flew 4 yards farther on the 188 yard hole and 3 yards farther on the 168 yard hole. Both brands stop the same distance from their ball mark. Ball flight pattern was similar.

Really partial to the TX4. Played the PX3 and it was o.k. I think my friends thought I was cheap, which I am, playing wilson balls, but they get/got (PX3 is no longer available I don't think) really good reviews in golf digest and on other sites. Anyways I play to an 8 and found the TX4 to be everything the Prov1 is.

I was a 10 hcp....who knows what I will be when I get back. I love the Zip and no matter what I try, I keep coming back to it. 50/50 is an awesome ball as well. I will play the TP Reds when the BX puts them on sale, but I always come back to the Zip.
