SkyCaddie SG2.5 or SG3.5

Any body using either of these on a Mac?

Mac user here, and i'm quickly finding that our options are a little more limited. I'm looking for some info and/or opinions about these two models. Any technical problems? Mac compatibility issues? How's the customer service? Are they as great as people say they are?

Any help would be appreciated. My head has been spinning ready posts here, and trying to research online.

The Two units that i have used the Sky caddie sg2, And the current golf logix. Both have had no problems working with a mac>

The two models you mention are completely compatable with Mac. You should experience no problems whatsoever.

for the price, which would you recomend SG3.5 or GolfLogix? I think both are $299.

Now you are getting into personal opinion, and you're going to hear from both "camps" on why their preference is better & the other is "a piece of cr@p" or how it's not supported, blah, blah, blah.

 

All I'll say is I use one of the 2 models you mentioned and I love it! My wife wants me to sell it, but I couldn't imagine not playing without one.

 

Go to each of the manufacturers' sites, determine which one covers the courses you play (or will play - like on vacation) and go from there. You are the only one who can decide which is best for you.

 

Sorry - don't mean not to help, but it's like asking "which insert club here should I buy?". You'll get as many answers as there are members on the board!

right... one is simpler, and one provides more info than the other... I guess I'm not sure which would be best for me... Hmm... I do play the same 5 courses locally, but i do go to Myrtle every year too. And in Myrtle, i try to play new courses every time. In your opinion, would they lean you towards on over the other?

I bought the golflogix after my SG2 broke. If i had to do it again i probably would have bought the 2.5 or 3.5. Granted the golflogix is easier to use. But i like how the sky caddies gives you more info per hole. For example, The course that i play regularly, the skycaddie has much more info for particular holes than GL. Also, The intelligreen feature is not necessary but helpful.

If you are considering a SKyGolf product, give the Golf Guru consideration. It is less expensive to buy, they have no annual fees, it is just as accurate and has the all of the same features plus many more.
