Sun Mountain Swift X -VS- Titleist Ultra Lightweight

The Titleist website says that the Ultra Lightweight is 3.7 lbs. and the Sun Mountain site says the Swift X is under 3 lbs. but many people say that they are the same. So....who can shed some more light on the two bags? I know that Sun Mountain makes the Titleist bags, is one better than the other?

These are the two bags that are also on my list. I am also looking for more info. What I have read, though, is that the Titleist bags feel higher quality for some reason. Sun Mountain makes them, so what are the differences? I think that they may have done something similar to what they did when they re-released the SCB. I bought a speed cart bag, which I like. The next season they had a new one on the market. The one difference that was most noticeable to me was the fabric that they used on the new one. It seemed lighter and thinner. The bag had a different quality. I think that they used this different material to save weight. This could be why the weights of the UltraLight and the Swift X are listed as different. They may have used the heavy material in the Titleist and the light material in the SM. Another difference is the shoulder straps. The Titleist has that x shaped harness. The SM has loose straps. I have thought that the x harness looked good and comfortable on golfers. The difference in weight is not insubstantial, especially when the original goal is to cut down on weight. My local shop said they will have the 2010 around X-Mas. I am going to wait and then test the bag with my clubs in it. I want the lighter weight. If the straps feel comfortable and the material doesn't appear cheap, my past experience with SM would dictate that I pull the trigger. We shall see.

I'd also be interested to hear feedback on these bags as I'm looking for a lightweight, Sunday bag with stand and dual straps. I was also looking at the Callaway Hyper Lite bag:

Went with the Sun mountain since Golfsmith had it listed in-store for $99 from $129. Used the 20% off coupon, so total after tax was $87.78.

Upon further research concerning the 2009 and 2010 Swift X, direct from SM is that the two models weigh in at the same weight. 3.35lbs. I am not sure then, why they advertise it as under 3lbs! The only other difference besides color options is that they added a leg lock for when on a cart.

Just got my 2009 Swift X and I can say I am so impressed with this bag. Very small, but not too small. I have been searching for the perfect bag to carry and I think this is it. Used to carry a ping hoofer as well as a sunday bag, but this bag is both put together. Small, skinny, but room to carry plenty of stuff and fits 14 clubs very very easy. Couldn't be more impressed :clapping:
