What do you guys think about these irons? I am an 8 handicap. Are these good irons, or should I try for the 302's

I hit these into the net at my local pro shop and wasnt very impressed. Decent feeling iron but not for me. Try to see if there is a place to demo them at. Thats the only way you will know what is right for you.

I was playing to a 12 last season, but am starting this season off worse. I have settled on the I302's after playing blades all my golfing life and after a short stint with MP32's this season. If you are decent ball striker I would go with the I302's, imho, they are the best forged blades around, with the best all around design and performance.

 

That is not to say the I403's are not good, I have not hit them, but just purchased a set for my brother in law in lefty (who is picking up the game for the first time), other wise I would have tried them. I love forged irons with thin clean lines, and no offset, that is why I played blades and now players cavity backs.

Sniping a set of 302's at the moment on ebay after the 403's went for way more than I though. They may have sold for more than the 302's

8 hadicap you should probably go with the 506 irons or the 302's. The 403's are a game improvement cast head, you will be much better off with one of the two forged options I am guessing. The 506's you will find are a little more forgiving then the 302 but both are great sets and you can probably find them for a little cheaper. If price is an issue you can go back even further to the 201 irons. They are the forged grandfather of the 506's and father to the 302's. Still great clubs and only about 5 years old so you can still find some decent condition sets cheap on eBay.

Got the 302's and paid 265. I thought I got a good deal

i think that price is fair for the 302's.. but i'd say the 506 feel and perform better than the 403
