woodmont's sweet bag of goodness (except the driver, he's just a beast)

Gonna post pics up as soon as possible
I'm not the biggest guy out there, 6 foot and about 145 pounds, yeah I'm skinny. I've created my swing without any professional help but because I'm obsessed, I am one of the longest and straightest hitters at my course, and I'm working out a workout schedule so I can beef up a bit for high school golf season which actually starts in a month. One could look down at the sig, but I decided to take a bit more time and thoroughly describe my bag and why everything is the way it is; so, without further ado:
The Driver

Titleist 983E 8.5*- This is a deeper faced version of the more popular 983K, and I also believe that it was made in a limited supply, but I'm not entirely sure about that- please correct me if I'm wrong. I hit the ball about 295 yards give or take with the driver. The shaft is a Fujikura Pro-95 which occasionally decides that it's going to act up a bit; I plan on reshafting it soon. I did buy it used and I'll say beforehand that the marks on the crown were made by it's previous owner and not me. I have the club gripped with a Golf Pride Tour Velvet midsize grip with 1 wrap of tape.

The 3 Wood

TaylorMade R7 TP 15*- I like the deeper face of this club, it's bent to about 2* open, and this too I bought used (I'm on a limited Budget). And this club is plainly a monster from anywhere on the course, absolutely love it and the heavier more tip-stiff shaft as well. The shaft is a Fujikura Vista Tour 80 tipped about an inch. Usually play this club on the real tight par fours, or if I feel the need to reach a par five in two, although generally I decide to just lay up. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love this club. Gripped with Golf Pride Tour Velvet midsize with 1 wrap of tape.

The Irons

Mizuno MP33 2-PW- I got these clubs used, again, after I had devastatingly worn through my Titleist 660s. I then found out by asking one of the club pros at my course that my newish irons were bent 2* weaker in loft and approximately 1* upright. I've got no problem with any of this, because apparently the setup suits me perfectly; although, I do get a lot of remarks on the range pertaining to how high I hit the clubs, and I already hit the ball very high. These wonderful sticks are shafted with Royal Precision FCM 6.5 (pre-ownage by True Temper). And these shafts have just been soo smooth for me, perfect for my swing speed and tempo. I've gripped all of these with Golf Pride Tour Wrap standard size with 2 wraps of tape.

The Wedges

Titleist 56 and 60* Spin Milled '08s- Yeah, I like them, but I don't. I can't really explain why; I mean, the performance is undeniably excellent, but I just don't like the way they look. They look too round and as if they have a ton of offset to me. So I'm thinking of replacing them with the Nike Vr's, which I had demoed before it was below freezing outside and absolutely loved. Another thing that I can't get over is just how whippy and flexy the shafts feel; I like the more boardy feel. So I'd probably have to reshaft them with heavier shafts. Other than those I don't really know what else to say about the wedges. Oh, gripped with Golf Pride Tour Velvet standard size with 1 wrap of tape.

The Putter

Scotty Cameron Circa 62 #6- Bought this putter at a used store about 5 months ago, but it was still in it's plastic. Never going to change out this boy; absolutely stunning results. I feel that, with this putter, I can sink any putt within 15 to 20 feet, and it's risen to that challenge beautifully. It is 35 inches long, lie angle is 71* and loft is 3*. It does have a Scotty midsize grip which fits my hands perfectly. I absolutely love my putter and although there have been days when it just seems as if nothing is dropping I still haven't had a single three putt in over 49 rounds of golf; I call that a huge success.

I am going to try and get some pics up as soon as I can but the cold weather right now is making that a bit difficult, so please just bear with me. :D

Thanks,
Nathan

Alrighty-oh, so I just recently made a change in my bag and it concerns my driver, fancy that. I broke and jumped on the Taylormade wagon once more and bought an R9 TP 9.5* with a Motore F1 65 gram stiff, it's tipped and inch and a half so it plays to an extra stiff. I've opened up the clubface a little but I'm thinking that I may open it up even more. So far I've been getting great results with it, averaging about ten more yards off the tee so I'm now past the three hundred consistency barrier, but I do have a problem with the ball dropping at an extremely fast rate after reaching the apex of the flight and getting very little roll out. I have a very high ball flight even though it's still a very flat flight, the ball just goes and goes high but then just falls. It's kind of perturbing, does anyone have any idea of maybe why this could be? I don't know if it's the ball I'm playing, but I'm for certain not changing my swing.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
