was about to ask about the wedges but saw you updated your signature.

 

how did you progress the swingweights?

is that 58* in the photo bent to 60*?
did you want more bounce?
it seems you put much thought in your wedges, care to talk us through it?

The swingweights are all D3. I have always been steep and taken big divots, but I have been changing my swing and I am now 7* flatter than I was this summer. I previously used the highest bounce wedges I could find, but since I am a lot flatter and taking shallow divot I needed something different. All of my wedges are the low bounce offering from Miura. The 52* wedge is just the stock 52 with a little trailing edge relief and I had the leading edge rounded off. This allows me to have a lower bounce wedge with a narrow sole that fits my swing as I generally only use this club for fuller shots and pitch and runs around the green. The leading edge grind keeps it from digging as much when I hit a punch shot and hit down on it more. The 56* has mild heel and toe relief, slight trailing edge relief and slightly rolled leading edge. This club was designed for full shots in mind without digging. It also enables me to open it up a little bit in case I need to. The 58* is bent to 60* for the extra bounce and then a more aggressive heel and toe grind which enables me to open it up on the tightest of lies. The added bounce also prevents digging even when I try to hit a low spinner into the green. These wedges feel absolutely fantastic and I am able to hit pretty much any shot I will ever have on the course. I talked to Ted about it and this is the setup that we both felt would suit me needs the best.

Such a nice set up can you give us a little feedback on the way they play difference from Mizuno shown mp feel distance adjustment period if any the more I see them must resist must resist I could only imaging how buttery oh snap....wait I let you tell me hehehe.

so you are D3 on the wedges too? many suggest 1SW up on each wedge starting with PW to slow things down and more feel. what's your thinking for keeping D3 all the way?

I will review them in depth soon when I get more time with them. I chose D3 because it feels good, but remember swingweight doesnt tell you the whole story, my clubs still have a good amount of weight to them.
