let me know what i can do better- please keep in mind i've only been playing 6 months with no lessons (yes, i know i need them!)--- i know for sure that my back leg should NOT be straight. i also notice my front foot coming up when using the driver..

(since ppl are asking more about the course, then helping with my swing- i'll repaste the info from below:)

the course i'm playing on is located in hong kong- it's called kau sai chau (east course)-- it's an island that was previously unused- the hk jockey club built 3 18 holes on it.

the only problem (as with everything in asia compared to the states) is that a weekend round (incl cart) is about 115usd! and that's probably the cheapest in asia on the weekend- heading into china (incl. cross border transport or ferrys) costs about 150usd! weekday round is a more palatable 75usd.

Hey; for just a beginner you've got a nice swing... just a couple of things I might suggest (just my opinion): I noticed your left foot comes up and off the ground during the top of your backswing, try and keep that left foot on the ground so you maintain more balance and so you can shift that wight through from right-to-left. Try and keep your posture a bit more upright and stand maybe just a little bit more closer towards the ball.

P.S. the course you were playing at looks beautiful.

thanks senor rafa- i guess here's where it gets tricky- on the driver swing, if i don't move my left foot slightly (a' la baseball swing) then i will slice it for sure. I assume however, if i come in closer to the ball and stnad more upright, that may potentially fix the slice?

guess the best thing is to go get some lessons?
