Ball striking= good, Ball flight= bad

SOS... golf can really make you go insane

For the last two rounds and practice sessions I've had, my ball striking has been good. However the ball flight is actually very irksome. What happens is, the ball flies perfectly on line to where I aim but draws about 5 to 10 metres. No matter what I do, I can't make it go straight. Anyone else have this same problem or have an idea how to fix it.

Sorry I don't have any pictures or videos but maybe give me some typical situations or flaws.

Check your lie angle... Your irons might be too upright? I don't know if yours are, but that is what happens when you lie is too upright.

Or back to basics.... is you alignment off? Do the old lay club down and check drill.

Thanks for the help. Yeah I did all the alignment, feet, shoulder, club face. It's not the lie angle because 3 weeks ago I was hitting them whereever I wanted to. I think I'll get over it. I call it 'the good round(s)' effect. A couple of weeks ago, I played really well, won two competitions and dropped two shots. Now I am in slump again. But then that's what golf is. I'll just keep working on it. Worse comes to worse, I'll get a lesson with my coach who can fix anything.

Based on the swing link you have in your signature, it LOOKS like you may have a pretty strong grip and have the club face closed (face pointing towards the sky) at the top. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it can lead to hooks if you don't make the necessary compensations before impact IMO. You may want to take a look at your grip and make sure you haven't overdone it (i.e. made it stronger than normal for you) in the last few weeks.

Grip has always been like that. It used to be extremely strong until I decided that I got sick of the big low hooks. That swing link was from the beginning of the year. I'm going to work on it today and I'm pretty sure that my fault is that my swing is getting to long and my right elbow is getting too far away from my body at the top of my backswing. As a result, my elbow does not drop properly into position.
