Building A broomstick putter

technical help required...

I have a taylormade rossa fontana putter which i have never realy used.... I dont like the feel. I like the look of the putter at address and would love to try it in a long putter model.

Is it possible to remove the shaft ad some weight and attach a 52 inch double bend shaft?

The hosel seems to be at 90 degrees which suggests to me that all i need to de is find a long shaft with a bend that sets the lie angle at 79 degrees.

If im correct - where can i buy the shaft, whats the best way to add weight to the head and can a new shaft be easily installed in this head.

Weight would be lead tape or lead in the shaft. As for adding length, I'm pretty sure that's very doable.

Another option is to get a broomstick adaptor from Hireko Golf (www.hirekogolf.com). They cost about $3 and convert a 90 degree bore into a 79 degree stem. Then you can use a straight shaft. You can even send your head to DivnickGolf (http://www.divnickgolf.com/telescopic/long.html) and they will insert a straight telescopic shaft for you so you can collapse it for travel... Otherwise, you won't be able to fit it into your travel case. I got a 50" chest putter from them...very cool.
