Places to Practice-Orlando Area

Good Balls. Short Game Area..Value... etc.

Going to Orlando after Christmas. Wife, Daughter and I. Daughter a college golfer and wants to remove some rust before the spring season. The family combines to a 14 hdc. a few afternoon 9 or 18 hole rounds would be enjoyable too.
Appreciate nice surroundings...can stretch the budget for a memorable afternoon.

Not sure exactly where you'll be, but Windermere has a pretty solid deal for a practice facility. $35 all day for all the balls you want. It's a nice area, although residential so I'm not sure if the scenery is what you're looking for.

Orange County National has the best practice facility in the Orlando area, but there isn't an all day pass that I'm aware of. You could go out and play there though, as well as practice, and there is a short 9 hole course also for practicing.

Kev.... buddy.... no no no no ....... That place is AWFUL!!! Sometimes you can go to the range out there and the grass is like US open rough. lol..


If you are looking to practice/play/at a great rate, here at Stoneybrook West we have great a great chipping and 75yds in area with 2 well sanded bunkers, and our putting green is in great shape year round. The only downfall to our practice area is we use floaters on the range. (we have a wet range) Also.. Our golf rates are great year round. I can get you out for less than $90 all year this year. We just overseeded Tees Greens, and Fairways so the course will be in excellent shape in about 2weeks.

Outside of where I work.

Grand Cypress has a great Academy to practice at and I believe they have a daily rate to hit balls and use the 5 practice greens, and the 3 academy holes (one 4 one 5 and one 3.) <that by far is the best practice facility IMO in orlando. OCN just has the largest range.

LOL. I've never actually been there, a colleague of mine who lives out in the Windermere area was telling me about the $35 deal and I just assumed (because of the area) that it was at least decent. My bad!

Grand Cypress is a great place to stay, play, and practice. They give you a cart for your use all day on a golf pkg.

We stayed at ChampionsGate last year. They have a very nice range/practice facility (attached to the Leadbetter school).

Grand Cypress is excellent. Also, Orange County National, as stated above, may be the best. For hard-core golfers.
