Japan vs USA irons

Looking at Tourspecgolf.com, there seems to be a completely different line of clubs made for the Japanese vs. the American golfer. Why does a mfg. like Mizuno, TaylorMade, Callaway, etc. make clubs targeted to Japan and not even offered in the US market? Also, the Japanese clubs seem to be a lot more expense and have a lot more "technology" - at least reading the product descriptions it appears that way. I'm confused, but I'm sure someone on the board can help me understand!

you think golf is expensive in the USA...it's a hell of alot more expensive in Japan.. thus basically it's for the very rich and they are into the "status symbol" that golf represents.
