Play it Again Sports Return Policy

Anyone know??

I bought a Rife Barbados Black on a whim at my local Play it Again Sports for $60 bucks today. However, when I got home, I realized I already have too many putters and now I want to return it. I looked on their site but I could not find anything, and on the receipt is says that their return policy is located on their front desk which doesn't help me much. Anyone have any trouble returning anything with them?

1) How could you not have known this before you purchased another putter?

2) How can someone have TOO MANY putters?

Anyway... a quick google search later and it seems that you have two weeks, so long as your item is returned in 'original' condition, to get a refund or store credit/exchange.

Play it Again Sports are independently owned franchises. Each one has different policies regarding returns/exchanges. I worked at a PIAS during college and all of the ones around here (Middle TN) allow 7 days for a used item and 30 days for a unused new item.

The one here in Knox, TN is 7 days on used items as well

I called they store and the guy responded by saying I have three days to return it and I will only get store credit, not a refund. Are you serious?

At least they didn't tell you no refund. You can use the store credit in the future.

Yeah, lots of times used/clearance items have a NO REFUND policy attached to them, so this is better than nothing. And especially from a used place - there's no way for them to really know you're returning the exact item you bought or what condition it's in. Store credit is better than nothing, though. Lesson learned - no more impulse buys.

Here is the email I received from them. I'm wondering if the item is returned in 3 days or less then I get a full refund rather than store credit.

"Sir,

Typically on golf we have a 3 day return policy on used golf. If it is under a week we will allow you to take store credit for the putter. But after a week the best we can do is either buy or take the putter back on trade from you. I hope this answers your question. Feel free to email me or call me for any further questions."

I don't see an issue with that response. Shouldn't be PIAS issue because someone got buyers remorse.

Seems pretty straight forward - under three days, money back. 4-7 days, credit. Over a week and you're basically trading it back in. Why don't you just call the store you purchased the putter from and ask? Or take it back and see what they say?
