New member in Midland, Tx

Hey guys,

Obviously I am new on this site. I have been recently playing a lot of golf, up until about a month ago i would occasionally play once or twice a year. I seem to have been caught by the golf bug and now im wanting to play everyday. I have greatly improved on my driving ability and am currently hitting it a little over 300 yards on a good solid shot and about 250-280 yards on average.

I am still learning to hit my irons correctly, i have a few good shots with them here and there but I am still having trouble hitting them consistently. Also im hitting my irons shorter then i should be but im guessing the distance will come over time and practice. I am absolutely addicted to golf these days and have invested lots of money in it just in the past month on a new driver, putter and irons.

I am really enjoying reading around the site and cant wait to get on the course and try a few tips i have read around here. Im currently trying to play a few times a week, but living in west Texas makes it very hot during the days (98-105) on average. So needless to say after work its difficult to make it out to the course. But anyways just stopping by to say hi and that i cant wait to hopefully one day contribute to this site, until then ill just sit back and soak in all the knowledge i can.
