Not sure if my embed is going to work... I really want to get some help this year to create better tempo and ball address and more of an inside out swing pattern. But the video shows where I am now.

The drive in the video went about 290 from an elevated tee. One of my better driver shots of yesterdays 27 holes... Years past i've had a pretty nasty slice but now my misses seem to be hooks from pulling my body left on bad swings.

Any comments are welcome!

standing too far from the ball
foot line looks like you're trying to hit to the right of that group of trees, shoulder line is pointed 50 yards left....like you're trying to hit left of that group of trees. either way it's gonna be darn near impossible to swing in-to-out from that address position.

hard to tell too much else from that video. get a face on view, and with DTL videos, have them shot at hand height, on your foot line...not out by the ball.

shoulder turns probably too flat (partly due to standing too far from ball)....
and my guess is that you're swaying into your right side while your head stays centered which causes that runoff.....and then it looks like you're losing your butt line and your posture through impact.

New video... Tried to get it more DTL like requested but ist still a little big of an angle...

But my adjustment here is a steeper backswing while standing more over the ball with a more pronounced bend at the hip... Am I going in the right direction?

Too steep on the take away and you're standing up and moving towards the ball when making contact (early extension). Not really sure but it looks like your short arming your follow through.

Your address is much better now. You can tell you've made adjustments, just a long process.

Yeah the new ball address is nice and that part feels comfortable, but swinging from the new position is awkward to me right now... Dug the club into the dirt a couple times when I first moved in on the ball :russian_roulette:

Ya I know what you mean by it feeling weird. I'm going through changes just like you are. You're also moving towards the ball and standing up on the downswing just as I am.

So not only are you standing closer to the ball now but you're also moving even closer as you make contact and stand up which makes you very "wristy" and makes you yet even closer when making contact. There are a lot of videos out there about "early extension" that will really help you out.

Just like myself, once you learn to keep your posture you'll create the necessary room for your arms to come through and will help you stay on plane on the downswing.

address posture and distance to ball look much better.

but you still have the same issues as before. the shoulders are pointing way left of where your feet are aiming. that will always create a pull or slice. (as seen by the ball starting way left)

so, next time out i'd be very conscious of your shoulder alignment. get the right shoulder lower than the left, get your spine pointing away from the target (feeling like your head is considerably behind the ball....especially with a driver), and then grab the shaft of your club and hold it across your shoulders.....make sure it's aligned with your feet, parallel left of your target. initially you'll probably have to feel like your right shoulder is way low, and way more behind you at address.

in the takeaway, i think you should bring your hands inside to start. the clubhead will stay outside, but your hand/arm path needs to be initiated by your shoulder turn. right now you're lifting the club straight up away from the ball while your shoulders turn flat. we want the shoulders to turn everything as one unit, which will feel like the hands are passing by the right pocket.

downswing, i'm positive with that impact position that you have 'early extension', meaning your left hip isn't going deep behind you in the downswing and your pelvis is thrusting towards the ball. that's why in the frame after impact your spine is straight up and down and your right shoulders all scrunched up in that weird position. plenty of info on early extension floating around. basically your left hip/butt has to go deep behind you, and that will allow you to stay in posture through impact, be way less flippy and turn through to a full finish.
