Cleveland Hibore

Recommended Posts

The Cleveland HiBore Hybrid's inverted crown design coupled with its unique "Thin Crown Technology" has allowed designers at Cleveland Golf to relocate 15% more discretionary weight to the rear skirt of the clubhead. This repositioning of weight to the outer rear perimeter has increased MOI significantly while making it easier for players of all levels to get the ball airborne more easily.

The Cleveland HiBore Hybrid's face-centered performance has helped to create a more consistent and less penalizing club which allows mis-hits to perform nearly as well as perfect shots. The club's tour-inspired face profile has also given it a larger face area and sweet spot, which will lead to added confidence at address. The Cleveland HiBore Hybrid's parabolic leading edge and face profile promote a larger hitting area, as well as increased playability out of all types of turf conditions.

Have been through a number of hybrids this year: Callaway X, Cobra DWS, Hogan, Rapture. The Hi Bore's offer the best combo of weight, trajectory and distance. One of the tips I picked up along the way is to hit the hybrid like you would hit the iron and stand just a bit closer. That will take away the tendency to hook

I was at a cleveland demo day yesterday at the range I take lessons at. I decided to attempt to find a better fit hybrid for myself. My current TM Rescue Dual 3i is without a doubt my most inconsistant in my bag. I have no idea why, perhaps the weight of the club throws me off. I began experimenting with shaft flexs and and lofts and hit golfing paydirt. I could not believe the ball flight I was getting. Simply amazing carry distance.

The day ended with me ordering the 3i and 4i HiBore Hybrids with Regular flex graphite. I simply can't wait for them to arrive. The HiBore is no joke.

Finally found a hybrid that will be in my bag for a long time.

Tried forever to like my TM Rescue Dual 19 deg. Had it re-shafted to Rifle 6.0s to match my irons. Played with the MWT and tried all kinds of weight configurations. Never could get it to fly farther than my 5 iron. Always ballooned. Never felt solid. Couldn't consistently work it any direction.

Picked up a HiBore 19 deg at PGA Superstore when they went on sale for $80. I had bought new irons with the DG SL shafts and the HiBore stock steel shaft is also a DG SL. Hit it on the launch monitor and everything looked pretty good so for $80 I figured why not give it a try.

I've played at least 10 rounds and hit hundreds of range balls with this club. Piercing trajectory. Great consistency. Solid feel on anything but a horrendous swing. At least 20 yds longer than the Rescue Dual, probably more like 30 yds on solid hits. Straight as an arrow unless I try to fade/draw. Hits off the tee and the turf very well. I traded in my 3 wood and 5 wood because all I ever use now is the HiBore hybrid - short par 4s off the tee, long par 3s, all shots off the deck on par 5s, chipping around the green, etc.

I know alot of the improvement may be the DG SL shaft, but it's also got to be the club head. I've hit lots of other hybrids on launch monitors and this one feels so much better through impact.

I've been playing the 19º 2i HiBore for something like 8 or 9 months and I love it. Like someone else said above, "hit it like an 8 iron." I do the same thing and I get an extremely consistent trajectory that carries out to about 230. Love it.

917 D3 9.5° (AD GP 6X), G 3W 14.5° (Rome 888), 816 H 18° (Motore), JPX 900 Tour 3-PW (S300 AMT), T7 52° and 58° (S300), Bettinardi BB0, B330S

Had the 2i when it first came out and loved it. Used it off the tee box, on the fairways, around the green. Then for some absurd reason gave it up for a TM rescue dual and my game's never been the same, gave up the the TM Rescue dual for a G10 but still couldn't find that consistency. Then decided to go back to the 2i when i found it to be on sale at global golf. My game's back! Its one hell of a club, very easy to use.

My 4 iron (24 deg) was becoming a hit and miss club, so this last Saturday I bought a Hibore 4i (25deg) from golf galaxy and it has an X-100 shaft in it. I played yesterday and this dog is the SHIZNIT, it flies a little higher than the 4 iron probably becuase of the higher loft, but this club doesn't lack distance. I now have a club that can confidently hit the 200 mark with.

The X-100 feels quite stable and I didn't have to worry about left sided duck flippers. Since I'm bag'n the X's in my irons, it made the transition easy.

I have the 4i Hibore hybrid with the stock shaft. Easy to hit. Love the feel of carpenter steel. Bought and sold the Burner, Baffler(good club), Adams, Heavenwood, and Rescue Mid. Cleveland hybrids perform the best for my swing. I also have the Halos which feel better than the Hibores. But the Hibore has a bigger face and is more forgiving. Initially thought the Hibore line was ugly, but these hybrids have changed my view of Cleveland clubs. I just ordered an XLS 3 wood.

I picked an almost new one a few weeks back at Gg for the tune of $40. WOW, I can flat out kill this thing, even with the stock graphite shaft. Great hybrid.
