Are there any Wayne residents on this forum? If so, what courses do you guys play that is nearby Wayne? Tired of playing at the same course all the time.

I don't live in Wayne, per se. But I stay in nanuet and work in Woodcliff lake, NJ. Passaic County actually doesn't have much in the way of public courses. But there are a ton of decent courses within say 45 minutes. You've got the crystal resort courses, The Morris, Bergen, Sussex County and Essex county courses. Each of those counties have several courses.

Then it's a bit more drive to a ton of nice courses just off of 78, including Neshanic Valley, Beaver Brook, Architects, Royce Brook, amongst others.

Thanks! I only played the Morris Parks Courses and Alpine Country Club. And the course in Wayne is like a joke. Better for practicing. 5 dollars for nine holes xD

I'm in Oakland and play pretty much all of my rounds, North, West and South of the area. Aside from the private clubs there aren't many options for decent courses in the immediate area. Closest I usually come are High Mt, Berkshire Valley and Bowling Green. Everything else is part of the Crystal group, outside Atlantic City or even heading out 80 into PA. Granted I have more weekdays off and time to make them day trips or long weekends than most. Joe

I live in Bergen and I either usually play the bergen county courses (darlington, overpeck, rockleigh, orchard hills, valley brook), high mountain, rivervale or emerson

If you're in Wayne, I'm shocked you haven't touched the Crystal Spring courses at all (right up Route 23 in Hamburg). All of their courses are always in fantastic shape. Wild Turkey and Ballyowen are incredible, Crystal Springs is a tough little b**** of a course, Black Bear is very very solid, Great Gorge is a different type of course with 3 9's and Cascades is a decent 9 hole layout...only a couple years old too.

Yes, all the Crystal Springs course I have played are in great shape and challenging.

Paramus isn't to bad, probably only 40 dollars during the week for non-residents.

Maybe have one of your club pro's call a private course, and get out there.
