Golf Magazine to Subscribe for 2007

Which one?

Obviously the upcoming Fed Ex Cup is the number one reason why I want to subscribe to something that'll give me an inside scoop week after week.

What golf magazines in bookstores do you recommend?

What online mags do you recommend?

I want good golf stories and inside information. not really looking for swing tips and advertisements. Thanks.

I really enjoy Golf Digest but GOLF Magazine is good too.

i subscribe to both.. though they may not be pure info no advertisments, i still like them, and some times the tips are ok...

I subscribe to Golf Magazine, my dad to Golf Digest, and we switch. We each prefer our subscribed magazine.

 

I've been considering Golf World or looking for a weekly magazine.

Both... between the dense saturation of terrible ads in the both of them, subscribing to a GD GM combo should just barely give you enough golf stuff to read. at least this is what I do, plus it is nice having my fine golf literature spread out in biweekly fixes as opposed to crying myself to sleep waiting whole months for a single publication to arrive (cool)

I get golf digest and golf world. great combo for me.

Golf World is the best for me. Has the what'sin the bag ting where they talk about the last weeks prototype stuff. Love it. Digest after that then Golf Magazine comes in last.

Golf World if you want to keep up with the tours weekly.

 

Two that I enjoy are Golf Illustrated and Golf Tips. Both have much better equipment reviews and they don't recycle their tips.

Ditto. I got a 3 year subscription for $5. I takes 8-10 weeks to get the first issue, but for that price it's worth the wait.

 

Now if I can just figure out how to get Golf Punk in the U.S. for less than $8.50/issue! :drinks:

I go for the trifecta, Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golf World. I need the weekly info, i can't go 30 days without a golf magazine arriving in the mail. Then I get all the TGW, Golfsmith and Edwin Watts catalogs, spend 4 hours a day on WRX, another hour on PGATour.Com and TGC and then go home and watch TGC for another few hours.

 

Does anyone remember the magazine Maximum Golf? they only had a few issues (maybe 8), i remember one with Daly on the cover, another with Lefty. it was kinda cheesy and halfway between Maxim and a real golf magazine but it was very entertaining. I was bummed when they stopped making it.

What if I send in the "business reply mail" paper you tear out from a magazine, fill it out and send it in, asking them to bill you, receive the bill, but decide to recant your subscription? No mag has been delivered yet.

I subscribe to Golf Magazine and overall it's decent plus Feherty's column is pretty good and it keeps my coming back.

I used to be a Golf World subscriber for many years. Now I get GolfWeek. I switched to Golf Week simply because I think/thought that they give more scores from the various minitours, college events, am events, etc.

I get Golf Digest because someone gives it to me. I would not pay for it, except maybe for Dan Jenkins! Same with Golf- only read because of Feherty.

I have my favorites.

 

GolfWorld then Golf Digest. Before I knew about Websites I would look for that Golf Tips annual golf club buying guide and thumb through that forever. Now I have GolfWRX.

 

My favorite 2 spots are the "BagRoom" in the Golf World and the "Whats in the Bag" in the last couple of pages in the Digest.

Golf World and Golf Digest are the two best mags out there IMHO. I know this is miniscule [pun intended], but the size of Golf Week bugs me... :drinks:

Golf Punk is a funny take on the golf world. I pick it up at the newstand sometimes. They have a section called bunker babes. Go check there website at http://www.golfpunkonline.com/.

Golf world #1 definately. But go ahead and get golf magazine and golf digest also, there only like $24.00 a piece for two years, A buck an issue and golf magazine usually throws in a bag, I use it for extra balls and stuff.
