Just wondering if there are any wrx'ers in the Austin area. Always looking to make new acquaintances, and have a new reason to play. :drinks:

I live in Georgetown and frequent Star Ranch, Teravista and a select few others in the Austin area.

Nice. I live in Bastrop, on #7 at Colovista. I just played Teravista last month, nice track. I also frequent Avery Ranch, Riverplace and ACC. And of course all the muni's in the area.

 

Do you know of any other wrx'ers in the area? Will you be playing much over the holidays?

I am in north Austin. My buddy and I rotate between Avery Ranch, Falconhead, Roy Kizer, Bluebonnet, Terra Vista and Star Ranch. We have also been fortunate to play Berry Creek and Spanish Oaks a few times. We are planning to make it to Burnet to play Delaware Springs and to New Braunfels to play The Bandit sometime after the first of they year.

How is Falconhead-that's off 620 right? If so, I still haven't gotten a chance to knock it around that one yet. Any reviews?

Correct, it is on 620 right before Hwy 71. I have always enjoy playing there. The holes are fairly straight forward and fair. The fairways are generous off the tees and the greens have always been in good shape when I played there. Here is the link to their website:

The green on the par 3 17th signature hole is man made to resemble a limestone grotto overhanging the creek that runs up the right side.

I've heard good things about it. When I first went out there, it was not in anywhere the shape or condition that I've heard lately. I was there when they were first taking over the course, before any homes were built. I must say, I think it may be the first "new" course for the new year.
