2 handicap, check out my swing

You need to fix a couple address positions.
1.Your spine tilt at setup needs to lean about 10-15 degrees to your right.
2. Your hands are forward pressed a little much at setup. Should be at the seam of your pants zipper.

I would work on these 2 setup changes... Then i might look at the swing and see if your still leaning at the end of your back swing. If you are.. i would suggest you make a better turn around your spine.

Currently on your downswing your upper body is so far in front.. you tend to scoop at the ball at impact.

It's a unique swing. Not very classical. You seem to augment the shaft lean you need at address instead of creating the shaft lean on the downswing. To change it to a Adam Scott like swing will require you to change way too much. Not bad though. I feel like you had trouble when you first started with making contact, and to ensure contact you got into the habit of having your hands well in front of the ball. You're swing is like an extended pitch shot. You're a two handicap. Changing your swing will probably make you into a 10 handicap for a while.

Interesting. Alot slide forward at impact. Do you make that big of move with the longer sticks. Or do your turn tighter the longer the iron or with woods? I tend to do somthing similar with wedges to insure good downward compression; to help prevent skulling and thin shots. Your adress is kinda of a preview of the clubheads impact position.

Superman, You are spot on about my swing being an extended pitch shot. My shots feel like they are a shorter swing but much more compact at impact than before. I understand that changing a few things in my swing will change my handicap a bit but in the long run it'd benefit me more. Making changes has been the reason i'm down to a 2 handicap. anyways, I'll be changing my spine tilt at setup and see if i can create a straighter shot from that.

You don't seem to get your hands in front of the ball much. Probably hit a high ball. looks like your shoulders rotate so much your left arm stays against your chest at impact and that makes it hard to get your hands in front of the ball. You also don't get that right elbow/right arm back in front of your hips. Sounds weird but your lower body is doing plenty and maybe too much. I'd say swing your arms more. Watch tiger woods stinger videos on YouTube and see how much his arms swing compared to his body. Tiger and Adam Scott will have there hands over there left foot at impact and the ball just forward of center for normal trajectory shots. It might seem like its de lofted a lot but the extra club head speed from having that lag will get the ball up no problem
