Bandon Dunes - Does the Inn location (having to walk to the Lodge) get annoying?

Planning a Bandon trip this summer. Lodging choices are forest king in the Inn, or else dune single (base room) at the Lodge (the larger NE / NW rooms in the Lodge are booked up).

 

I would prefer the larger/nicer room at the Inn, but does the walk over to the Lodge (for meals, etc.) get annoying? In other words, does the convenience of the Lodge make it worth just doing the base room in the Lodge?

I stayed in the Inn when I was there, so I would say no. You'll have to take the Resort shuttle to get to the clubhouses anyway, so you're really only looking to have to walk over for dinner. Each of the individual clubhouses have small dining options, so you only have to eat one meal a day at the main place. Now if you intend to get hammered drunk...well, probably stay in the Lodge. It's a much easier (and shorter) stagger to get back to your room.

Considering that you'll be walking 6-18 miles per day, I would think that the 100yd stroll from the Inn should be doable. Just my opinion.

Was just there less than a month ago and even during the cold, dark winters the 100yd stumble from McKees is no big deal.
