Tour Bags

Im 15 years old, cant stand any stand bags so I always use my moon bag. Im thinking about buying a tour bag just for when I take carts. What do you guys think of this? My only concern is at 15, people may think: what a loser with a staff bag, what a wanna be tour pro. What do you guys think?

I carry a Srixon staff bag, and had your concerns at first. Some guys even confronted me about it. I took their money and their apolgies after I drove a 336 yd par 4. If you are moderately good, you have nothing to worry about, but if you are a hack like the person that take 6 shots in a bunker and then doesn't rake it, you may want to go with the stand bag. But really, who cares what a groups of hacks think. Take their money.

It's your money (I'm assuming you'll have to earn it), so do what you want with it. Trust me, no one really cares, and those who do really aren't worth your time. As long as you're not using it to show off or try and rub it in other people's noses, no one will care whether you shoot 63 or 103.

 

As you grow older you'll learn the valuable lesson of, "Who cares about what other people think." :)

I'd say if you want one then get it. Theres no point in not getting it because other people think you are a fake or a wannabe. And who cares what you shoot like what taylormadefan. If thats the bag you want then get it.

go for it. but go for a smaller staff bag like some of the titleists instead of a massive tour bag cause that will just end up gettin in the way

Yeah, I agree with this, and with carrying whatever you want. It's your money, and your bag.

I have a huge PING fitment Staff bag, forthe reason that I rarely walk, and when I do I can always swipe a pull cart form the club house, if you want it, and have the cash I say go for it. Like it was said before the guys who give you a hard time about it are usually the guys who's opinion doesn't matter. Have fun.

I would say that if at 15 you are astute enough to post the query, you are skilled, mature and insightful enough to have any bag you want.

as a fellow junior golfer at 17 im gonna go with a different response and say dont get it. It will just get in the way when you play tournaments. not to mention stand bags are alot lighter. And you will get some looks from people thinking "who is this kid with a tour bag". It might not come to your face but people will think it. Just get a nice stand bag like the ping hoofers. I have a Hoofer Extreme and its bid enough for everything i need. trust me, you wont regret it in the long run.

Look up the TaylorMade L2 cart bag, its a mini staff bag..My wife got me one as a wedding gift..Sweet
