Takin' up the game again... finally

Greetings all...

My golf jones has returned with a fury after a decade of playing fewer than one round per year...

It's Goodwill's fault... I found a shockingly nice (but incomplete) set of Dynacraft Tour Caliber muscleback blades with stiff steel there for $2 per club... (anyone have a Dynacraft TC MB 7 iron laying in the corner of the garage? ...cuz if you do, I'm interested)

...and then I just kept finding stuff there ...all the while getting more and more riled up

A Taylor Made Firesole driver for $4... and a Callaway ti Warbird 3 for $3... and a cheapo unhit RAM hybrid 4 for $2

Then I had to have shoes... and a set of wedges... and a new putter... and a glove... and another more modern driver... and balls... and tees... and then a hybrid 3 because I hit the hybrid 4 hit so well...

and I live in Wisconsin.... GHAAAAAA!

Thank god for golf simulators...

I usta could play a little... a long time ago... then I married a crazy-woman and had kids... Now she's long gone and the kids are 17 and 19...

Time to get back at it, wouldn't you say? Yea, I think so...

Hello defaultoprime. I see your in Grafton WI. I'm in Milwaukee. Your the man if you can hit blades after a ten year layoff. I was a once a year golfer until two years ago, now I can't golf enough. My wife thinks I'm nuts. Do most of my golfing at Silver Spring. And I can't wait to use my x-mas present a new set of srixon z-tx2's. I just hope it's not too much club for me to handle.

yes... those z-tx2's are pretty...

as far as the blades go, I've always been able to hit a 6 or lower... the feeling when you hit a forged blade just right is intoxicating... which can be dangerous... HA! but now that I'm paying attention again, I find that hybrids exist... and I seem to hit the hell out of them... so it's all good...

I'll also say that hitting the blades effectively in the simulator isn't the same as getting it right on the course... It'll be interesting to see what happens...

I'll likely do most of my golfing at Mee-Kwon and Hawthorne Hills... That crazy Missing Links course in Mequon as well... I think I'll probably use it as an excuse to go exploring this summer...

Funny you should mention the hybrids, I never thoght I would hit Nike clubs But I got a couple of Nike VR hybrids 2 and 3 and hit both as far or farther than my 5 wood. 5 wood gets kicked out of the bag this summer. That's after I tryed 4 other hybrids and couldn't hit any of them.

Can't wait for spring.
