they guy i visited yesterday expressed interest and i'm semi discussing trade with

him., but won't see him again till next month probably.

Hey. My Pro 1 Plumbers has lasted a little longer than a week so far. LOL

 

1 of those I bought was as a gift for a friend. The other 2 are on tryout mode. LOL

Has anyone gotten a response on when they might ship?

 

I ended up buying one and would like to work out some details on it but communication has been very poor IMO. I understand everyone is busy with the PGA show coming up and certainly they underestimated the demand for these putters but it has been very difficult getting any word back from them.

 

I am a pretty big mills fan and have owned several at this point but this experience has left enough of a bad taste in my mouth that I am delaying my plans to get a custom finally made.

we are working on measures to not have the same problems on the next go around of putters.

Sorry, for the bad taste, it has only been a week. You will not find two finer people to work with, than David or Jay.

I am sure they will make it right.

I am not worried about the time. I expect to wait for custom putters. What I would expect to be different from a custom maker is the communication level. I have dealt with Jay several times (just ask my Visa card) and had outstanding feedback.

My concern is that the custom process should be interactive between purchaser and builder. If this isnt possible, then I think the brand loses a little bit of the charm it has had in the past.

 

Dont get me wrong, I may never have anything other than a Mills in my bag. I love the brand and the product just concerned.

Last word I got on mine was that they shipped out last week sometime. That's all I know. LOL I'm sure they will get here next week sometime.

David emailed me friday that my putters were sent out. Sent UPS so should have them Monday my time, sunday your time :) I understand your frustration. Just have to remember it is a one man show. If you don't want that softail, lmk :cheesy: I originally wanted it and emailed him about it but Chris said you had dibs. I think he emailed me when they shipped as I requested the fastest ship service as priority mail takes 10-15 days to get here and I am still waiting on packages sent priority mail shipped in November :) Damn USPS!

 

BTW, I had to spend $120 to have them shipped express here as I am losing faith in USPS. By the time my stay is up on Guam, i will have easily shelled out enough $$ to have 3 or 4 handmades made...

10-15 days....Damn. LOL. Being In GA thelongest I've ever had to wait is 5 days and that was shipped from Hawaii. LOL

Thanks. My house is in the background of the picture with my dog. Right on the beach. Funny thing. Just found out yesterday that it used to be a beach bar in the late 80s early 90s. How fitting :) BTW, Gonna get that softail from you. Should have funds later today :)

Even if it wasn't snowing/sleeting/hell freezing over here in KC, I'd still say those are pretty awesome photos...what's the golfing like in Guam? How many courses to you have? I just did a quick Google search and there look as you've got some unbelivable water hazards!

I get home this evening (for it is evening here) and I have a parcel shaped package - Well two actually but one is my Mills arrived here in (not) sunny Surrey. I was shocked that it arrived so quickly. Do I like it? Yes indeed! Nice headcover too. This is my first CS for ages and I like the setup very much. Lovely putter.

There are 9 courses on the island. Except for the 2 military courses, the public courses pretty much cater to the Japanese tourists. Some very nice courses with beautiful view. I believe the best course on island is Mangilao golf course with their signature hole in the picture below hitting over the Pacific ocean. Leo Palace Golf resort is another good one. Because of all the mountains and the fact this is an island, sets for some very impressive views.. Not to mention, $40 for locals and military at all the resort courses :)
